  • Domestic firms' domination of the $2 billion China Telecom server procurement shortlist, seen as the likely continuation of moves to eliminate foreign hardware from China's networks;

  • China's BeiDou satellite navigation system gain of near $1.8 billion in investment commitments for new projects, deepening international competition with GPS, and targeting integration with vehicles, agriculture and beyond;

  • The launch of Busan Digital Asset Exchange in South Korea, aiming to tokenize real-world assets including precious metals, raw materials, and carbon credits;

  • The Monetary Authority of Singapore's launch of the Global Finance & Technology Network, aiming to deepen the city-state's position as a global fintech hub;

  • The Indonesian government effectively banning the sale, and use, of iPhone 16 and Apple Watch 10 devices, citing failures by Apple to meet mandated in-country investment targets;

  • Intel's CEO reportedly derailed the firm's TSMC semiconductor discounts with ill-considered remarks, losing Intel a 40% price cut in the process;

  • The Reserve Bank of India's Governor's comments on central bank digital currencies, namely that "CBDCs can do whatever cryptocurrencies do. In fact, CBDCs have more benefits than cryptocurrencies, minus the risks associated with private cryptocurrencies"; 

  • The breaking of a transnational scam ring comprising Thai, Myanmar, and Cambodian nationals, arrested for defrauding a Thai woman of over 21 million Thai baht, nearly $620K;

and many more.
